1. Mineralogy, geochemistry and petrology of sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks.

2. Physical and mechanical properties of host rocks.

3. Composition and geochemistry of solid fossil fuels.

Currently, the Department conducts research on the patterns of distribution of the quality and content of toxic elements in the working layers of Donbass.
